So excited to finally blog about Natalie & John's beautiful Southern California wedding at La Bahia Resort in San Diego. They got married on the sand under bright sunny skies and a flower filled chuppah and later had their couples pictures on the Sunset Cliffs.
How they met and how he proposed!
Natalie and John met online in April 2016, technology is amazing. John, a pilot in St. Louis, and Natalie, a California native, the two began their journey with 3,000 miles between them. John flew to Orange County for their first (and second) date and after that wanted to meet her parents. They both knew this was that raw unconditional love that they had been searching for. "Right away I knew it was unconditional love that drew me to Natalie. She cares about everyone and doesn't judge; she is who she is and lets everyone around her be who they are, including me." After moving in together, finishing grad school and landing her dream job they knew they wanted to buy their first house together, John knew what he wanted next. So while visiting Natalie's family in California on May 11, 2018, John took Natalie for a beach walk where they'd had their first date and asked her to be his wife.
With their love of the California beaches and him being a pilot, of course they had their engagement session at Lyons Air Museum in Newport Beach and then ended with a sunset beach session in Corona Del Mar. Click here to view their engagement session
Their wedding day started with John doing some meditation on the balcony and Natalie singing to some of her favorite songs with her girls in the room as they got ready. Both so anxious and excited to see each other and celebrate their love! The first site of each other as Natalie walked down the aisle was magical and you could tell John was stunned, you couldn't shake the smile off his face! Their ceremony was so so heartfelt and emotional, the best kind, with everyone in their seats wiping their tears. I'll never forget Natalies excitement walking back down the aisle with her new husband after being pronounced husband and wife.
For their couples pictures we decided on going to Sunset Cliffs for the gorgeous views, it did not disappoint. Although the sun did not make an appearance, the love and beauty of these two was all that was needed. The celebration continued through sentimental and absolutely hilarious speeches, lots of flossing and dancing and ended with just the two of them under the lights and stars in the sky.
Natalie and John- Thank you so much for having me there for all these special moments, your story is magical and I truly can see and feel the love you two have for each other. I wish you nothing but the best and can't wait to see everything that comes next!!
